CLASS 1 - BEST TROT SHOT
Judge's comments: "Well done to you all! In general, try to have a sharp picture (often screenshots out of videos are very unsharp), clear angle and if you make use of a collage don’t overcrowd it. As a judge, I also look for harmony, and an image behind the vertical immediately gets placed lower. Please take this into account when entering the next time, but for now well done to all!"

CLASS 6 - BEST ALL-ROUNDER
Judge's comments: "I absolutely loved seeing what activities you get up to with all your horses, there are some true all rounders who seem to get up to a lot of things! For an all rounder class specifically, I’m looking for a variety of 8-10 images, all showing a different discipline or activity as these best show the vast capabilities of your horses."
1. Laurie LaMontagne & Peanut - "What a wonderful display of disciplines, I would just recommend a few clearer images to properly showcase your equine friend."
2. Peggy Decker & Cinnabar’s Painted Puzzle - "Whilst your horse is beautifully presented and your collage has just the right amount of images, a bit more variety would definitely make you a tough combination to beat. "
3. Alexa Kavanagh & Harry - "A great display of all-roundedness, with some very clear photos, but a few too many images that just over-crowd the collage."
4. Megan-Rose Marriott-Henshaw & Bluewood Daisy - "I really love the connection shown in this collage, but I would reccomend some more variety of disciplines and clearer images to increase your placing."
5. Billy Jo Howe & Pumpkin - "A great showcase of what Pumpkin can do, to improve your placing I would reduce the number of images to 8 or 9 and focus on not doubling up on the disciplines. "
6. Connie Ratcliffe- Mackenzie & Maddox - "Whislt you have an excellent variety of disciplines, the collage looks a bit crowded and less images allows a clearer view of all your horse is capable of."
7. Riley Boyes & Callie - "Similar to 6th, the collage looks very crowded, however the variety of discplines is well represented."
8. Mia Harker & Alfie - "A good collection of images and variety, however some clearer images would better show off your horse. "
9. Kaitlyn Marsh & Splashed with Daisy’s - "Some very good images shown, however some more variety would improve your placing. "
10. Laura Davidson & Todd - "A good display of disciplines and activities, but some in action perspectives would improve your placing in this class. "
Well done. Small prize to 1st.

CLASS 8 - BEST VETERAN
Judge's comments: "some really well looked after older horses here, which are an absolute credit to their owners. Looking after a veteran horse is a real skill, and shows true horsemanship, an understanding of nutrition, exercise and consistency of care. I love to see veteran horses still out there doing jobs and enjoying a varied life. Placings here have gone to the horses that show good condition in respect of their age. I want to see them in work ready condition (if appropriate), neither lacking muscle nor overweight and with a sparkle still in their eyes."
1. Emma Powell & Teddy - "beautiful horse and a real credit to your care and diligence. Draft horses are not easy to maintain as they age and Teddy still looks in sterling shape."
2. Billy Jo Howe & Pumpkin - "Pumpkin still looks sparky and enthusiastic about his job, which is great for a 38 year old!"
3. Amelia Baybutt & Harry - "Harry's in beautiful shape, you'd never know he's a veteran - well done"
4. Amber Pendlebury & Furzy Lodge Pixie - "wonderful, cheeky looking pony that could easily be half his age."
5. Sam Prior & Bear - "Bear's in great shape, still enjoying a variety of disciplines which is wonderful to see"
6. Laura Davidson & Trojan - "well done for keeping a heavy in such good shape as he gets older. He's a lovely shape and weight, which will help him maintain condition as he ages."
7. Jamie-Lee Owen & Cherry - "good to see her looking lean and work-ready - good management."
8. Olivia Watson & Elen
9. Peggy Decker & Cinnabar's Painted Puzzle
10. Eldon Heyns & Putwell Raider

The judge would like to pass on an admirable mention to Holly Henderson & Prince - "he's a really beautiful pony and I love him, but can't assess his condition from a headshot. Next time, pay close attention to the class criteria and submit photos that match, because he has a real chance of placing well."

5. Charissa Schipper & Big Paychex to Cash - "Another great example of a well-timed photo! I love that the horse fills the whole frame and the lighting really draws my attention to the movement of the tail & hind legs"
